The price of the Samsung NU8000 varies from different retailers. Amazon was found to have the lowest price of all the retailers at the time of the search for the Samsung NU8000. Prices change so I would advise to click on the retailers to the right and type Samsung NU8000 in the search of the site to check the price. I have also included customer reviews below, the reviews are different on every site. So again the best option is to check the sites by clicking on the retailers to the right, and a new tab will open directly to that site. Good luck with your purchase, and have a great day!

Fantastic picture. HDR pops beautifully. I really debated whether to get this 82 inch TV or the 75 inch Sony 900F just to get Dolby Vision but ultimately decided to go for the larger screen size and boy I’m glad I did. My only issue with this TV (and I’m so happy with it that I don’t think this issue warrants removing a star) is a slight hiccup with the HDMI handshake upon plugging in a device. When you plug in a device in one of the HDMI ports it might not give you HDR right away, specially with the apple TV 4k which is really demanding when it comes to activating HDR. It took me a while to figure it out and I was blaming my receiver or the cables (some cables might give you issues sometimes. If you want 4K hdr try to stick to cables of up to 6ft, specially if you’re going through a receiver) but just plugging the HDMI cable on a different port on the TV solved the problem and once you get it working, it stays that way.
Now, let me address an issue that was brought up by another reviewer. I did not purchase this item for its smart capabilities. My only focus when choosing this set was getting the largest screen size with the best 4K HDR possible for a reasonable amount of money. Just like you wouldn’t choose a Ferrari because of the cup holders, choosing a 4 thousand dollar TV based on features a $150 device like the apple TV 4K can do 100 times better is just silly. But unlike getting a $150 device to get the best streaming apps possible to compensate for the smart features, there’s no $150 device that can fix your HDR or your 4K picture quality if you choose the wrong set. So my advice, if you’re gonna drop 4 grand on a TV, smart features should be the least of your concerns. Choose the best picture quality on the biggest screen you can afford because you will be stuck with it for years. A smart streaming device is something you can swap as often as you like for chump change. All in all extremely happy with my purchase.

With FreeSync selected in game mode on my Xbox one X, I’ve noticed an improvement in an already impressive response time with this T.V.. The Nu8000 also has a great picture. The upscaling is great for streaming t.v., like sling. Excellent for sports.

Review of the Samsung 65NU8000 65” 4K.
This is our second Samsung 4K TV and no surprise they seem to keep getting better. It’s a small improvement over our previous 2017 TV that was (and still is) awesome in this mid-price point. So I guess that makes this an “awesome +” rating.
The picture quality is very good – stunning really. But most “A class” TVs are now. In my opinion colors are a little over saturated in the default factory settings (easily changed) but I think that is what most consumers want. The picture is crisp and the Xbox looks good in the high frame rate flicker free world of Assassin’s Creed.
What sets this TV apart from the others we have looked at was the Smart TV interface, and HDR. In the past other smart TVs we have owned went unused because the “smart” interface was so bad and slow. The Samsung TV interface is clean and very easy to use. It has basically replaced our Apple TV for connecting to Netflix, HBO and Showtime. Changing apps, changing inputs is quick and simple.
Other pros and cons
Pros. The stand and assembly is much improved over the Samsung we purchased two years ago. The previous version was awful, awkward and hard to setup. This stand is a big improvement and more sturdy.
Pro. Don’t have to use the miserable Apple TV remote anymore.
Neutral. Bixby voice, we just don’t ever use this feature.
Con. This TV like our 2017 Samsung version won’t recognize our Tivo Bolt, which means the Samsung universal remote won’t work. Not a big deal because the Tivo remote can control the TV. It worked for awhile but a recent update has broke something.
